Senior Beth Billington (St. Paul, Minn.) had 7 kills and junior Tess Dokus (Salem, Conn.) added 6 more for the Bobcats, who raised their mark to 6-8 overall while dropping the visiting Monks to 6-13. Other statistical standouts for Bates included first-year Grace Haessler (Portland, Ore.) with 25 assists and 8 digs, junior Kira Kramlich (San Francisco, Calif.) with 6 digs and sophomore Katelyn Gilardi (Prides Crossing, Mass.) with 4 aces. First-year Katie Boccanelli (Cottonwood, Ala.) led the Monks with 7 kills and first-year Kaila Schulte (Rochester, N.H.) added 5 more, wile sophomore Kendra Frye (Moultonborough, N.H.) racked up 4 aces and first-year Samantha Varrell (Portsmouth, N.H.) had 15 assists to go with 6 digs. First-year Laura Moreau (Rollinsford, N.H.) and sophomore Mary Hoyt (Rochester, N.H.) came up with 7 and 6 digs, respectively. Bates will co-host the Mid Coast Classic with Bowdoin this weekend, including a pair of home matches against Rivier and Gordon, starting at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., respectively. St. Joseph's plays at Emerson on Saturday. |
