At No. 2 singles, Oscar Pena outlasted Bates junior Amrit Rupasinghe (Colombo, Sri Lanka) 6-3, 6-7(3), 10-6, and at No. 4 the Polar Bears' Josh Cranin won in another tiebreaker over Bates junior captain Ryan Mannelly (New Canaan, Conn.), 6-4, 3-6, 10-3.
