Event winners for Bates were senior Izzy Alexander (Harvard, Mass.), who won the long jump at 15-09.00, and senior Jen Marino (Methuen, Mass.), who won the triple jump (33-06.75). Other top three performances were registered by: Alexander, who was second in the 400-meter hurdles (1:03.69), Sarah Ellen Godek (Gilford, N.H.), who was second in both the hammer throw (134-05) and the shot put (36-09.50); Laura Smith (Boulder, Colo.), who was third in the hammer throw (132-08); Megan Schleck (Mendota Heights, Minn.), who was third in the high jump (4-07.00); first-year Taylor Piers (Falmouth, Maine), who was second in the long jump (15-08.75); first-year Tina Tobin (Lowell, Mass.), who was third in the 100-meter hurdles (16.11); first-year Romina Istratii (Athens, Greece), who was third in the 100-meter dash (13.84); and first-year Elizabeth Carleton (Westborough, Mass.), who was third in both the long jump (15-07.00) and the 400-meter dash (1:04.64). Bates will next compete at the Aloha Relays at Bowdoin April 17-18. |
