Hansen told the audience that "we are able to pursue many great things because of you."
Hansen thanked the gathered philanthropists, a group that included members of the Mount David Society and donors to endowed Bates scholarship funds, for their "time, talents and energy" and for "choosing to make an impact, through philanthropy, on the educational mission of the College and the academic experience of our students."
