The Peer Writing Center in Ladd is open from 7 to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday nights as well as Sunday afternoons from 1 to 5.  If you are REMAINING ON CAMPUS FOR SHORT-TERM and want to switch rooms, please come to the Housing Office as soon as possible and fill out a short term room switch request form. Switches can take two forms:
1. If you know someone who will be vacating their room for short-term and you want to switch into their room, you can both email amcgeeha@bates.edu with the request.
2. You can fill out the short term room switch request form and turn it in to the Housing Office. You will be able to note your preferences on this form and will be housed accordingly, depending on what is available.
All short term room switch requests need to be handed in/emailed by May 1st. Please feel free to email housing@bates.edu with any questions.

KEYS: Before you leave, return your keys: Students not returning to campus housing for short term, must return all College keys by April 19th at 5pm. This includes residence keys, academic building room keys and keys to student organization offices. Keys may be returned to the Access Control Office (across from the bookstore) during office hours, or through the mail slot in the Access Control door outside of office hours. If you must return your key when Chase Hall is closed, please return your key to the Security Office. Returning your key to Security is only an option when Chase Hall is closed. The late fee for keys not returned by April 19th is $25. The total fees for residence keys not returned, or returned after the lock is changed is $100 per key. Academic building room keys and keys to student organization offices are billed at $50 per key. You are responsible for returning your keys. Do not leave them in your room, give them to someone else to use or expect someone else to return them on your behalf.
ACCESS: Building access will terminate on Sunday, April 19th at 5pm for those students who are not registered for short term or participating in an approved short term sport or program.
