Bates raised its record to 8-5 overall, while the visiting Huskies dropped to 4-8 on the season. Bates senior Caroline Thomas (Barrington, R.I.) assisted on Bates' first three goals and finished with two goals and four assists in the game. First-year Jenna Dannis (Milford, N.H.) scored three goals with one assist, while junior Morgan Maciewicz (Marblehead, Mass.) added two goals and two assists. First-year Maggie Reilly (Wellesley, Mass.) had two goals and one assist, while sophomore Briana Gross (Andover, Mass.), first-year Joan O'Neill (Westwood, Mass.) and junior Molly Dilworth (Yarmouth, Maine) all had two goals apiece. First-year Ellie McDonald (Manchester, Mass.) scored once and assisted on two other tallies. Mary Vaughan scored two goals for the Huskies, while Jessica Knight added a goal and an assist. Rachel Lolley made nine saves in net. Sophomore Mara Krueger (St. Louis, Mo.) started in goal for Bates and made two saves in the first half before giving way to first-year Leah Elsmore (Shaker Heights, Ohio) for the second half. Elsmore made one save. Currently in sixth place in the NESCAC standings, Bates plays at Bowdoin on Tuesday at 7 p.m., then hosts Colby on Friday, April 24 at 7 p.m. in its regular-season finale. |
