The Mount David Society recognizes Bates Fund donors who put the College first in their annual philanthropy. These individuals lead the way in supporting Bates by making significant, unrestricted current-use gifts each year — gifts that underpin the College’s ability to sustain excellence.

As a group, Mount David Society members are a powerful philanthropic force, typically contributing more than $3 million annually, or about 70 percent of the entire Bates Fund total.

This extraordinary show of leadership support exceeded all projected expectations for this program, and the College is especially grateful to the founding members of the Mount David Society.
