Adams, Knortz selected to play in East-West All-Star Game
May 28,
2009
Adams (West Hartford, Conn.), a midfielder, scored one goal and assisted on four others in 13 games of action in 2009, while collecting 29 ground balls. Knortz (East Granby, Conn.) was the Bobcats' most reliable defender and one of the team's four captains, along with Adams, Nate Kellogg and Sean O’Brien. A three-year starter on the Bates defense, Knortz has improved his ground-ball total in every season, and finished the 2009 season with a team- and career-high 48 ground balls. Earlier this month, Knortz became the Bobcats' first All-NESCAC defender since his former teammates B.J. Majeski '06 and Ryan O'Connor '06 both earned Second Team honors in 2006. |
