Club Sport Athletes

Students interested in participating in the rugby and ice hockey club sports teams are required to submit a physical as a FY and Junior.  Students must use the Health Center Physical Form and submit it at least one month prior to the beginning of their season.

Men's & Women's Rugby - season begins 2nd day of classes

Men's & Women's Ice Hockey - season begins November 1st.

NO participation with teams are allowed until the physical has been received and reviewed by medical staff.

Students participating on the other club sports teams (equestrian, fencing, sailing, men's volleyball, ultimate frisbee, water polo) must sign the Annual Health Update at the pre-season meeting held with the Club Sport Director.  For more information about club sports programs, please go directly to the club sports website:

 II. Lightning Policy

In the event that a bolt of lightning or flash has been visually observed, immediate evacuation of all outdoor practice, contest and conditioning areas must be executed and shelter be sought.  This includes the evacuation of spectators as well.

No one may return to the evacuated areas for 30 minutes following the last flash.  If lightning is spotted within the 30 minute time period, the clock is reset for another 30 minutes.

Structures such as the tennis house, baseball/softball dug outs, trees or small shed are "not" safe areas during lightning.  Safety should be sought in a permanent building/structure such as a dormitory, athletic/academic building.

A vehicle with a hard metal roof and windows rolled up is a better option than being outdoors.  Do not touch the sides of the vehicle.

FYI - Lightning may strike on a clear day and can travel 10 miles.  Thunder always accompanies lightning.  The rumble of thunder should alert individuals of the threat of lightning in the area.
