The Economics Department at Bates College, a private, highly selective liberal arts college in Maine, invites applications for a tenure track position at the level of Assistant Professor. A Ph.D. is preferred, but ABD will be considered. Interviews will be held at the ASSA meetings in Atlanta. Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vita, graduate transcript, teaching evaluations, evidence of teaching and scholarly achievement, and three letters of reference (at least one of which must specifically address teaching performance and abilities). The successful candidate must combine teaching and research in one or more of the above fields with a willingness to teach two or three sections of Introductory Macroeconomics on a regular basis. The annual teaching load is five semester courses. Candidates for this position should apply to:
