Networking is a critical strategy for the job search process. At Bates, we have a well-established alumni and parent network comprised of professionals in a variety of industries who want to help Bates students succeed in their career search efforts.
The Office of Career Services and the Office of Alumni & Parent Programs offer several ways for students to connect with the extensive Bates network, including:
Career Mentor Network
Application program for seniors to link with a parent or alum assigned to mentor them through their job search process, offering industry- or geographical-specific advice.
OCS Advisors
Bates alumni listed in the OnlineCommunity as "OCS Advisors" are available to speak with students about their careers. Please login, click on Directory and use the advanced search option to locate an OCS Advisor in your geographical or career interest area.
Alumni Panel events
Throughout the academic year, alumni return to campus to share the story of their career path or discuss current trends in their industry and occupation.
Bates Business Networks
The Bates Networks offer events throughout the year to help Bates alumni, parents, students and guests meet, connect and network professionally around a variety of career-related or Bates Community-related topics.
