Collection Project 4: Selections from Alumni Collections is the fourth exhibition in a series devoted to examining works from the permanent collection and focuses on objects from some of the wonderful collections donated by Bates alumni. Not intended as a comprehensive survey of all alumni gifts, the exhibition will highlight several notable collections which have had a significant impact on the Museum, underscoring the importance of alumni giving to the growth and richness of the permanent collection. The museum has invited Curatorial Interns from the Department of Art and Visual Culture to research and develop an exhibition from within these collections.

The exhibition is organized by curatorial interns, Molly Richmond ’10, Emma Scott ’10, and Annie Svigals ’10, under the guidance of the museum’s curator, Bill Low, and curator of education Anthony Shostak
