Cullen leads women's cross country to ninth at ECACs

The Bobcats scored 238 points, close behind eighth-place Tufts (236) and seventh-place Colby (226). First-year Lindsay Cullen (Newburyport, Mass.) led Bobcat runners by finishing the 6-kilometer course in 25:04.1, good for 29th place out of 275 runners. Close behind was senior Ngoc Pham (Sharon, Mass.) in 32nd at 25:18.2. Junior Alex Alberto (Concord, Mass.) placed 53rd in a time of 25:44.4, followed by junior Liz Rowley (Evanston, Ill.), first-year Amanda Solch (Mountain Lakes, N.J.) in 67th (26:02.7), junior Kerri Leonhardt (Milford, N.J.) in 68th (26:03.0) and first-year Liz Schulze (San Diego, Calif.) in 88th (26:33.3). Bates competes close to home next Saturday at the New England Division III Championships, hosted by the University of Southern Maine at Twinbrook Recreation Area in Cumberland. |
