Bates jazz band to stage concert

LEWISTON, Maine -- The Bates Jazz Band, under the direction of Mark Manduca, will perform a concert at Bates College in the Olin Arts Concert Hall on Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend free of charge.

The concert will feature the music of two accomplished Maine teachers and composers, Terry White and Criag Skeffington, in addition to selections from the acclaimed Count Basie and Maynard Ferguson bands. Bates senior Thad Carlson of Middlebury, Vt., will solo with the band.
