Choreographer to discuss spirituality at Bates LEWISTON, Maine -- Robert VerEecke, artistic director and choreographer of Boston Liturgical Dance Ensemble and pastor of St. Ignatius Church in Newton, Mass., will discuss "A Dancer and Choreographer's Perspective" as part of a new Bates College lecture series, "Spiritual Journeys: Stories of the Soul," on The academic-year series features individuals who represent an variety of religious traditions, disciplines and professions such as psychology, dance, peace activism and education. Speakers lead participants through a brief encounter with a spiritual practice or experience that has been important in their own lives.
The next scheduled speaker is Kip Tiernan, founder of Rosie's Place for women and Healthcare for the Homeless in Boston, who will discuss "A Social Activist's Perspective" on Friday, Nov. 14, at 4:30 p.m. in the Benjamin Mays Center.
