November noonday concerts scheduled at Bates

LEWISTON, Maine -- The Bates College Noonday Concert series continues its fall season with a selection of programs throughout the month of November. The free concerts, open to the public, will be held Tuesdays from l2:30 to l p.m. at the college's Olin Arts Concert Hall, on Russell Street in Lewiston.

Pianist Brian Franck will perform works by Schubert and Kabalevsky on Nov. 4. The Bates College Flute Quartet will perform on Nov. 11. Guitarist and singer-songwriter Bill Shimamura will perform original compositions on Nov. 18. There will be no concert on Nov. 25 when the college is in recess for Thanksgiving.
