Brandon Thongsavanh, between 19 and 21 years of age, was arrested just after midnight today and formally charged in the stabbing death of Morgan McDuffee on Main Street early Sunday. The accused, formerly of Auburn, is a resident of Lewiston. The police did not expect to make any additional arrests in this case.
The horror of this event is extended by the realization that the accused is the son of a Bates employee. Our community continues to grieve.
