Court appearance of prime suspect

The prime suspect in the murder of Morgan McDuffee appeared today in Superior Court in Auburn. At today's hearing, the State of Maine exercised its right to request a hearing at which it will make a preliminary presentation of its case. As a result, the accused will be held without bail until the time of the hearing. At the time of the hearing, his eligibility for bail will be reviewed again. Today the College formally requested of the Court that no bail should be allowed.
After meeting today with State and local law enforcement officials, and the Assistant Attorney General, I request that any students who may have direct information about the homicide please contact:
