International applicants to Bates requiring financial assistance must apply for financial aid at the same time they apply for admission.  To be considered for assistance, candidates must provide the following materials:

• First-year applicants must complete the Bates Financial Statement for International Students. Continuing students must complete the Bates Financial Aid Application for Returning International Students.
• A translated Wage Statement from each working parent's employer should be included the application form, along with a statement (also translated) from the family's bank official attesting to savings and investments.
• Other relevant supplemental information that you feel will help us better understand your family's financial situation.

Citizens of Canada must also complete the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE (the school code for Bates is 3076) and provide a copy of each parent's most recent Canadian tax return.
