Class of 1964
Edited by Ruth Rowe Wilson '36

Class Secretary: Elizabeth Dowd Rubino, 59 Crystal Ct., Haverhill, MA 01832; eadwr@aol.com

Class President: William A. Young, 2404 Jackstay Terr., Reston, VA 20191-2619; wayiii@alumni.bates.edu

Next Reunion in 2004. Got news? Tap out a note to magazine@bates.edu! Dave Campbell reports that daughter Meredith was to graduate May 4 from Baylor University School of Law. "Now that I've finally become more secure in teaching, I will have to try another Reunion before too many more years pass by."... Esther Rosenthal-Zellweger runs a referral service for people who need help in getting their cats/dogs altered to prevent unwanted litters. "When I started the program, our country's shelters were killing some 12 million mostly healthy and young (average age of 2) dogs and cats. At the end of the decade, the number is half that. The focus is going global, and last spring I spoke at a conference in Istanbul and this fall I'll be in San Jose, Costa Rica. I credit my dear parents for giving me the vision and the motivation to do this work — and, of course, Bates for giving me the tools to carry it out."... Dan and Merry Webber Stockwell '65 enjoy their new role as grandparents to namesake Daniel III, son of Daniel Jr. '89, and to Alesandr Nye Parker, aka Sasha, whom daughter Carolynn and husband Alan brought home from Russia in January 2001.
