Next Reunion in 2004. Got news? Tap out a note to magazine@bates.edu! "I'm flabbergasted," said James O'Neil of his selection as 2001 Citizen of the Year by the Keene (N.H.) Chamber of Commerce, in recognition of his contributions to the local community. At Kingsbury Corp. in Keene, he has been promoted to vice president of corporate relations. With the company 27 years, he has held several management positions and now oversees human resources matters, product and plant safety, environmental compliance, and customer and community relations. He has been executive trustee for the Kingsbury Fund for 15 years, former chair of Monadnock United Way, trustee of Cheshire Medical Center, and president of Center Stage Cheshire County.... Classmates of Alice Pump Bouley send her their sympathetic thoughts on the death of husband and classmate Bruce on August 26, 2001.... Sam Richards, pastor of East Winthrop (Maine) Baptist Church sees the need for a private day school "of classical elegance" to challenge the motivated and academically inclined students in the area. An exploratory committee will survey parents and potential students in the area for support of a Christian school for students K-12.... Thane Stimac Butt's daughter Elizabeth, a student at Washington University, was honored with membership in the Golden Key International Honour Society.
