HARTFORD, Conn. - The road has not been kind to the Bates College Bobcat men's lacrosse team so far this season.  This afternoon, Trinity downed Bates 9-2 in a NESCAC game at the Robin L. Sheppard Field, behind a three goal effort from James Skiff.

Sophomore middie Peter Friedman (Putney, Vt.) got Bates (1-4, 0-3 NESCAC) on the board off a Brad Frost (Winchester, Mass.) assist with 6:56 remaining in the second quarter, making the score 3-1.  Trinity (1-0, 1-0) would score the next three goals in the final 2:31 to take a 6-1 lead into the half.

Frost would score the last goal for the Bobcats in the fourth quarter off a  Dan Ross (Chevy Chase, Md.) assist.

Mark Dobbyn (Warren, R.I.) recorded 13 saves for Bates.
