The class lost three members recently: Dorothy Clarke Wilson, Euterpe Boukis Dukakis, and longtime class secretary Kenneth Conner. A laudatory Associated Press story on Mrs. Wilson's life quoted Ted Curtis, her attorney for a number of years, who said she was a "no-nonsense lady," who was "very concerned about the problems of the downtrodden of the world." The Boston Globe, chronicling Mrs. Dukakis' life, quoted her granddaughter Andrea: "Yaya was the quintessential optimist," she said, using the Greek word for grandmother. "'Get my body,' she would say about getting old, 'but don't take my curiosity.'"
