Edited by Christine Terp Madsen '73

Class Secretary: Jean Fessenden Thomas, 90 N. Main St., South Deerfield, MA 01373

Got news? Tap out a note to magazine@bates.edu! Lon Clough keeps busy with volunteer work, but plans to stop when his terms end. He will be a great-grandfather for the second time this year.... Ladora Davis Blowen has moved from Maine to Minnesota to be near her older daughter. Her new apartment is near enough to walk to the places she wants to go. She also volunteers some tutoring at an elementary school.... Bunny Lord Hulsizer has just finished her 16th year as a water-aerobics instructor and has loved every minute of it. She has retired as physics/astronomy librarian at the Univ. of Illinois.... Lib MacGregor Bates and Frank had some wonderful trips last summer — out to Montana and then on to Utah and the canyon areas.... Tom Puglise retired from Stratford, Conn., high school after 62 years. He thought he would miss it, but he doesn't.... Carol Jean Stifler says she is 85 and "happy to be around." She volunteers to help the chaplains near where she lives, still drives her 16-year-old Chevy locally, and sees several Bates people at church.... Earle Zeigler is doing well with two gaits he calls "stagger" and "lurch," due to artificial knees and a bad back, but they didn't stop him from writing. He has two new books that can be checked out at www.earlezeigler.com.
