Next Reunion in 2004. Got news? Tap out a note to magazine@bates.edu! Bill Cummings cruised the Mexican Riviera last fall, after two months on Cape Cod. He and Gil Grimes speak often about stocking ponds on Gil's development in Florida.... Bob Greenberg has switched from handball to squash, and was looking forward to his annual ski trip to Sunday River with Jerry Tompkins, Nate Boone '52, and Al Goddard '53.... When not hiking, biking, or skiing, Sumner Kagan plays a prominent role in the Showtime Singers. He's recently sung solos in Damn Yankees and The Producers. The group performs for corporate meetings and community centers.... Art LeBlanc and Angela celebrated the last college tuition payment for their children with a trip to Mykanos last summer. The trip also welcomed their 12th grandchild.... Margaret McGall Boyes lives in Todos Santos, Baja, Mexico. She's planning to attend Reunion, "God, weather, and local politics permitting."... Harry Meline works with SNIP (Spay/Neuter Incentive Program) in the Bahamas. Because of its success, he and Kathy were asked to give a presentation at the Island Nation Conference in Miami, one of only six presentations. Their last harvest was successful, says Dick Melville and Angela of their salt-water farm in South Bristol, Maine. He volunteers two days a week at the Pemaquid lighthouse. They took a three-week "pilgrimage" to Angkor, Cambodia, an "emotional homecoming," says Dick, after 30 years absence. He turned his numerous photographs and knowledge of the area into a six-part lecture course on the glories of the Angkor civilization at Senior College at UMaine-Thomaston. Son Carlos '00 is a public affairs liaison in Boston.... Walt Reuling and Margie Terani Reuling '57 completed a sentimental journey back to old haunts in Wisconsin and Missouri. Friends at Carson-Newman College claimed that the place has fallen on hard times since they left in 1992. "That's just what I wished to hear," says Walt. He's now immersed in writing his memoirs.... Betty Sherman Wildes and Glen keep busy with volunteer activities in Sanford, Maine. They also do a fair amount of traveling with agricultural groups.... Now in emeritus status at the Univ. of South Carolina, Don Weatherbee is still fully engaged in research, writing, and consulting on Southeast Asian affairs. Last April, he spent five weeks in the region looking at the impact of the U.S. war on terrorism.... Char Wilcox Weiler enjoyed a visit from grandson Kevin Weiler '05 last year at her Rocky Mountains home.
