Jerry and Gretchen Shorter Davis enjoyed a lovely dinner in Kameula on the Big Island of Hawaii on Valentine's Day with Gail Emerson and her friend Ray Tyler.... Attending the inauguration festivities for Elaine Tuttle Hansen in October were Emily Dore Fletcher, Helen Wheatley Dalrymple, Al and Dottie Sweetser Larsson, Jack and Mary Jane Henderson, Arthur and Sara Kinsel Hayes, and Jerry and Gretchen Shorter Davis. Jack Henderson also represented Dickenson at the ceremony.... Railroad expert and author George Drury leads a group of alumni on a rail trip to Switzerland in September... Sue Kittridge Barnard enjoys her job as administrative assistant at Trinity Episcopal Church in Shrewsbury, Mass.... Bill (Harold) Smith and Roberta are completing their third year of missionary work for the United Methodist Church, serving in Milan, Italy. They work with immigrants from Asia and Africa with Protestant roots to integrate them into the small Italian Methodist community. After 10 years in Senegal and Italy, they will return to the U.S. in September 2003 and retire in April 2004, with plans to spend the warm months in a cabin in northern Wisconsin.
