She keeps in touch with fellow Batesies David and Kathy Bourque, Amy Gordon, Mary Henderson Pressman '78, and Deni Auclair '78.... Bill Bogle is a senior partner with New England Pension Consultants. He caught up with Ed Leslie in San Francisco.... Sharon Bomer Lauritsen is deputy assistant, U.S. trade representative handling agricultural trade matters for the U.S. government, Canada, Mexico, Japan, and Australia.... Heidi Brockelman Schmelz's son, Tyler, is a freshman at Bates.... Paul Brown owns one of Vermont's top tourist attractions, Cold Hollow Cider Mill in Waterbury Center. All are welcome anytime for the "cook's tour."... Bob Burns is now teaching eighth-grade language arts in Fall River, Mass.... Ann Bushmiller works as an attorney in the general counsel's office of the FCC. She and former roommate Brenda Garrand visit often.... Marcia Call is a partner in McKinley Marketing Partners, which provides marketing contractors to Fortune 1000 companies. She travels frequently to New York and Dallas.... Steve DiPirro works for Oracle Corporation.... Debbie Furlong Wentworth works at Lucent Technologies as a supply chain manager. She and Nate report that their daughter Ashley is a member of the Bates Class of 2006.... Susan Gregg Englund is busy as a grant writer, program coordinator and has an educational consulting firm that works with parents and students as they search for and apply to college.... After laying low in the aftermath of the "dot bomb" crash, Brian Handspicker has moved forward to start two new companies: FieldWave and PracticalMarkets. Neither is a dot-com.... Ron Hemenway teaches college economics and business courses.... Robert Long has been appointed the city editor at the Brunswick (Maine) Times-Record. At his previous job as managing editor of the Capital Weekly in Augusta, he won awards for editorial and headline writing, and the newspaper won the 2001 General Excellence Award from the Maine Press Assn.... Lee and Betsy Rybeck Lynd are back in New Hampshire after an unforgettable six months living in South Africa. Lee teaches engineering at Dartmouth and Betsy teaches second grade.... Janice McLean completed a lifelong goal of earning a master's degree in library science in May 2002. She reports that she is still employed as a data architect at Allmeric Financial in Worcester, Mass.... Jackie Miller works as a healthcare reimbursement consultant for Per-Se Technologies in Atlanta.... Dana Peterson Moore is a partner at Whiteford, Taylor and Preston in Baltimore.... George Poland is "buried" in parenthood. He works for Epson America.... Mark Price spent time on a mission trip to Honduras and is in his 17th year of pediatrics in St. Johnsbury, Vt.... Mary Raftery won election to a four-year term on the Westerly (R.I.) school committee. She teaches in nearby Pine Point School in Stonington, Conn.... Richard Rothman lives in Bombay, India, and is the principal commercial officer with the United States Consulate.... Ted Stein reports that he is growing his independent financial planning practice with American Express. He and Susan MacDonald '80 celebrated 20 years of marriage.... In Guelph, Ontario, Stephanie Stohr Allin is a personal trainer and instructor of fitness classes, certified by the Canadian Fitness Professional Organization.... Peter Weimerheimer resides in Hinesburg, Vt., where he works with residents and medical students at the Univ. of Vt in Burlington. He is an assistant professor and ER doctor.... Nate Wentworth is in his fourth year as an elementary school teacher.... Leslie Wilcox Briggs is a stay-at-home mom in Glastonbury, Conn., and sees fellow Batesies Bonye Wolf Barone, Susan Venturo '78, and Rich Stanley from time to time.... Robert Willsey is still at Travelers, and spends a fair amount of time in Texas.
