After laying low in the aftermath of the "dot bomb" crash, Brian Handspicker has moved forward to start two new companies: FieldWave and PracticalMarkets. Neither is a dot-com.... Ron Hemenway teaches college economics and business courses.... Robert Long has been appointed the city editor at the Brunswick (Maine) Times-Record. At his previous job as managing editor of the Capital Weekly in Augusta, he won awards for editorial and headline writing, and the newspaper won the 2001 General Excellence Award from the Maine Press Assn.... Lee and Betsy Rybeck Lynd are back in New Hampshire after an unforgettable six months living in South Africa. Lee teaches engineering at Dartmouth and Betsy teaches second grade.... Janice McLean completed a lifelong goal of earning a master's degree in library science in May 2002. She reports that she is still employed as a data architect at Allmeric Financial in Worcester, Mass....
