What happens during breaks

There are six vacation periods during the year. International Students may stay on campus during each of them, however, you may need to move to a designated dorm or house for the length of the break. Dorms open for each break are posted in the Housing Office in Lane Hall. You will be contacted on details for each break prior to the beginning. The International Student Advisor's office assists International students during each break.
Thanksgiving Nov. 17 to 25, 2007
Holiday Break* Dec. 16, 2007 to Jan. 6, 2008
February Break Feb. 16 to 24, 2008
April Break* Apr. 13 to 21, 2008
Summer May 24 to Sept. 2, 2008


Students cook their own meals during the starred breaks (*). For the other breaks, the dining hall is open. Transportation is provided to purchase groceries. Students on campus during vacation enjoy cooking together in groups.

Students working on campus during the summer may pay $55 per week to stay in college houses. Students cook their own meals during the summer.

The International Student Advisor can be helpful with vacation planning, whether you are staying on campus or traveling off campus.
