Q: However, I think it would be fabulous if we could have a make your own belgian waffle bar as an "adventures in dining" stand or perhaps during midnight breakfast during exams week. Thanks for everything that you do.
A: We too think that would be an excellent idea, but due to electrical constraints, we are unable to support the electrical needs of Belgian waffle makers, but we are sure to come up with something new that will spark your taste buds. Thanks for writing

Q: Boy,some yummy pierogis would be great at dinner once in a while, with an olive oil and onion sauce. MMmmmm just thinking about it reminds me of home.
A: Let me see what we can do.

November 13, 2002:
Q: The water that comes from the premium water dispenser comes out SOOOOOOOO slowly. Ss it possible to fix this because that water is really good. Thanks.
A: We are addressing your concern. At this time we are just waiting for the new carbon bed to come in for the filter.

Q: Hi! I am an absolute bagel fiend...and I have been very pleased with the quality of Bate's bagels...but!...I really really would love to see an abundance of wheat bagels...They are so yummy, and so much healthier...anything that can be done?
A: We are trying. Our Prime Vendor has had trouble getting them.

November 11, 2002:

Q: I like the potato-lentil patties. I also really like it when there is seitan or tempeh. Thanks so much for having the vegan bar and the fridge with soy milk and other things and for providing a variety of vegetarian/vegan foods. I appreciate it. Keep up the good work!
A: Thanks for the kind words, I will pass them on.

November 11, 2002:
Q: I would LOVE to see some sweet potatoes on the menu, especially plain baked ones... they are my favorite! In reading some previous napkins, it seems that Im not the only one who thinks so! Keep up the great work - Commons is wonderful :o)
A: Thanks, we will make sure that the sweet potatoes keep coming.

November 7, 2002:
Q: I heard that some colleges put additives in their food for health reasons, such as laxatives in the meat or "spray-on protein" on the vegetables. Is this true at Bates? I am just curious. Also, I love the feta cheese in the salad bar and would like to see a sushi bar again sometime soon. And keep making the raspberry/brown sugar acorn/butternut squash - it is the best! Thanks for everything.
A: No, we do not put any "additives/laxatives" in our food. We have a strong commitment to serving the freshest, highest quality products available and are not in the business of altering foods. We will make sure that you see the sushi again soon.

November 7, 2002:
Q: >Especially now that it's getting to be colder, nothing makes me happier than a nice hot bowl of chicken noodle soup. I know you guys serve it, but I really don't see it that often. Considering that it is one of the more popular soups of America, could you consider making it more often, at least during the winter?
A: I will pass this on to the menu committee.

November 5, 2002:
Q: Could you please at some point make plain pankakes. I do enjoy blueberry and chocolate chip, but it is also nice to just have a plain pankake sometimes. Thanks.
A: We do have plain buttermilk pancakes on the menu.

November 4, 2002:
Q: Hi, I graduated 2 years ago. I love all of the muffins that you serve. My particular favorites are Low Fat Blueberry and Low Fat Apple Cinnamon. Any possibility I could get the recipes for those? I would really appreciate it!! thanks!
A: Sure can. I will have them forwarded.
