Loring M. Danforth, Charles A. Dana Professor of Anthropology, is the author of three books, The Death Rituals of Rural Greece, Firewalking and Religious Healing: The Anastenaria of Greece and the American Firewalking Movement, and The Macedonian Conflict: Ethnic Nationalism in a Transnational World, all published by Princeton University Press. He is presently working on a book with Prof. Riki Van Boeschoten of the University of Thessaly in Greece about the experiences of refugee children from the Greek Civil War.
