U.S. First Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Frank Coffin headed an American Bar Assn. committee that found that fewer recent law school grads will take jobs as public defenders because they can’t earn enough to offset the cost of student loans. National Public Radio quoted him extensively in its report on the committee’s findings.
