Edited by Christine Terp Madsen '73

Class Secretary: James J. Kircaldie, 64 Vineyard Rd., North Haven, CT 06473

Class President: Paula M. Colahan, 14 Bayberry Ln., Beverly, MA 01915, pmcolahan@attbi.com

Next Reunion in 2007. Got news? Tap out a note to magazine@bates.edu! Peggy Brosnahan writes: “After returning to school (Tufts) to pursue a D.V.M., I am finally enjoying life as a veterinarian. I’m working as an equine practitioner in Connecticut, with future plans to complete a Ph.D. residency in equine medicine. I still run (recently the New Haven 20k) and write. Combining my Bates-inspired love of history and my new interest in medicine, I recently had a prize-winning paper published in the trade journal Veterinary Heritage.... Charles Prast continues as president and CEO of Barcelona-based Private Media Group (NASDAQ: PRVT), a worldwide leader in premium-quality adult entertainment products, services, and Internet content. Private now has a greater presence in the $10 billion U.S. adult entertainment market thanks to the debut of its Private Fantasy Channel, initially available in eight million U.S. homes. “Up until now we have been a smaller player in the U.S., though extremely high-end,” Prast told Bloomberg News last summer. “We know our content sells well there.” EchoStar Communications Corp., operator of the second-largest U.S. satellite-television service (DISH), may carry the channel, trade publication Cable World reported. In addition to broadcast, Private also creates and delivers adult content through DVDs, PDAs (by means of an industry-standard 32mb MMC chip), video production, magazines, and the Internet.
