Second Half Run Lifts Wesleyan Over Bobcat Women's Lacrosse Team

2004 SPRINGFIELD , Mass. – After building a 3-1 lead early in the first 19 minutes, Bates allowed eight unanswered goals as Wesleyan defeated the Bobcats 11-5 in a New England Small College Athletic Conference women's lacrosse game on Sunday afternoon at Springfield College. Becky Meredith scored three goals and added an assist for the Cardinals, while Becca Vogel and Laura Siegle also scored three goals for Wesleyan, which improved to 4-0, 1-0 NESCAC. Lori Jessup '04 (Hatboro, Pa.) and Erica Nason '05 (Concord, N.H.) each scored two goals for Bates. The Bobcats, now 3-2, 0-2 NESCAC, will face the University of Southern Maine in a non-league game on Tuesday afternoon in Gorham. |
