Jessup Scores Four to Lead Bobcat Women's Lacrosse to 18-3 Win Over USM

LEWISTON, Maine – Lori Jessup tied a season high with four goals to lead Bates to an 18-3 win over the University of Southern Maine in a non-league women's lacrosse game on Tuesday afternoon on Campus Avenue Field.

Jessup '04 (Hatboro, Pa.) now leads the Bobcats with 15 goals and 16 points in six games. Bates improved to 4-2, while USM, playing its season opener, fell to 0-1.

Sonija Parson '06 (Washington, D.C.) added three goals and an assist for Bates, while Erica Nason '05 (Concord, N.H.) and Carrie Smith '04 (Chevy Chase, Md.) each scored three goals. Erin Culbreth '06 (Montclair, N.J.) scored two goals and added an assist, and Allison Marshall '07 (Princeton, N.J.) had three assists for the Bobcats, who held a 10-0 lead at halftime.

Amanda Loomis, Elicia Biczak and Emily Kirkland scored goals for the Huskies.

Bates will host Babson on Thursday at 4 p.m. on Campus Avenue Field.
