Colby Pulls Away in Second Half to Beat Women's Lacrosse Team

2004 LEWISTON, Maine – After Bates scored three of the final four goals of the first half to trim the lead to 10-5, Colby responded with a 7-0 run to start the second half to defeat Bobcats 20-7 in a New England Small College Athletic Conference women’s lacrosse game on Campus Avenue Field on Wednesday afternoon. Cara Dionisi scored three goals and added a pair of assists to lead the Mules, who improved to 3-4, 1-2 NESCAC. Emma Miller added three goals and an assist, and Courtney Drake also scored three goals for Colby. Erica Nason '05 (Concord, N.H.) scored two goals to lead the Bobcats, while Allison Marshall '07 (Princeton, N.J.) had a pair of assists for Bates. Catharine O'Brien made 15 saves to get the win in goal for Colby. Bates wraps up a five-game homestand against Connecticut College on Saturday at 11 a.m. |
