Jessup, Nason have Career Nights, but Bobcats Lose Tight Game with Trinity

2004 CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lori Jessup and Erica Nason each scored a career high five goals, but it wasn't enough for a win, as Trinity defeated the Bobcats 15-13 in a New England Small College Athletic Conference women's lacrosse game on Wednesday night at M.I.T. Jessup '04 (Hatboro, Pa.) has scored four goals several times in her career, including twice this season. She recorded her 100th career goal last Saturday against Connecticut College. Nason's previous career high was three goals. Trinity's Beatrice Gratry scored three goals in the first half to give the Bantams a 7-6 halftime lead. Kara Takesuye and Christine Ryan added two goals and an assist for Trinity, which improved to 5-3, 3-2 NESCAC. Becky Castle '04 (Stonington, Conn.) each added two goals for the Bobcats, who fell to 4-7, 0-5. Bates goes back on the road this weekend, facing Tufts in Medford, Mass., on Saturday at noon. |
