Bates College junior Heather Bracken of Pittsburgh, Pa., has been named to the American Collegiate Hockey Association's Women's Division Academic All-America team.  A goalie, Bracken anchors the #14 nationally ranked Bates College women’s ice hockey team, one of the college's nine club sports. She is a double major, in mathematics and physics, who participates in the leadership group Athletes for Healthy Choices and is a junior adviser in a residence hall.  Bracken also is a member of the Bates College Choir and serves as captain of the women’s varsity tennis team.
