    FIELD OF RESEARCH

    Physical Chemistry: Optical spectroscopy and scanning tunneling microscopy are combined to probe the electronic states of semiconductor and metal nanostructures. The intramolecular dynamics of isolated molecules are studied using laser and molecular beam techniques.
