2003 Head Coach

Wynn Hohlt

Wynn Hohlt has been the field hockey coach at Bates College since 1998, guiding the team to NESCAC Championship play in 2002. She led the team to an 11-4 record, the highest win total for the program since 1982, in just her second season at Bates.

Hohlt, who is also the head women's lacrosse coach at Bates, started her coaching career at Plymouth State College. She led the Panther field hockey program to a 78-33-1 record with five postseason berths in six seasons, and boasts a 114-84-1 overall record in 12 seasons with nine trips to the postseason.

Hohlt graduated from Williams College in 1989, where she was an All-Region goalkeeper. She later earned a graduate degree in exercise and sports studies from Smith College.

"Being part of the field hockey team gives student-athletes ties to Bates that reach far beyond spending four years here," says Hohlt. "Players uphold and strengthen existing traditions, while establishing new ones for future teams to follow."
