Adrien Auger competed in the USA League Tennis National Championships for Super Seniors in Scottsdale, Ariz., in November 2003 as a member of a 3.5 men's doubles team. His team advanced to the championships by winning the USTA's Mid-Atlantic regional semifinals in October.... Journalist Ruth Haskins Bass has been inducted into the New England Press Assn.'s Community Newspaper Hall of Fame. Ruth is a free-lance writer and photographer and has a regular travel column in a newspaper in Hillsdale, N.Y. She has been a weekly columnist for The Berkshire Eagle since 1987, and was a weekly columnist for the Berkshire Sampler from 1980 to 1987. She's written for The Boston Globe, Yankee Magazine, Cleveland Plain Dealer, and The Day of New London, Conn. She is the author of 10 books.
