Edited by Christine Terp Madsen '73

Class Secretary: Susan Gangemi Murphy, 204 Jackass Annie Rd., Minot ME 04258, smurphy@bates.edu

Class President: C. Ellen Yeaton Perry, 6 Laura Ln., Barrington NH 03825-3217, eyp48@metrocast.net

"Still haven't left Lewiston," says Dave Baker. When he's not hiking, paddling, or skiing with Pam Decker Baker '69, professor of biology at Bates, he squeezes in a dental practice. They enjoy the intellectual and artistic events at the College.... John Baraldi has been the director of one of Britain's leading drama schools, the East 15 Acting School, for the past six years. Located just outside London, the campus includes a 13th-century barn converted to a theater. He's met the queen twice and believes he is one of only a few Batesies to spend weekends at Windsor Castle.... Last October, Joyce Elliott was named provost of SUNY Empire State College in Saratoga Springs. She is chief academic officer of the college and oversees all undergraduate and graduate academic programs, policies, and services. She retains her title of vice president for academic affairs.... George Schumer is president of the Singing Skies Foundation for John Denver Music in California. The foundation presents concerts of Denver's music and supports young people with free CDs and sheet music of his works.

Next Reunion in 2005. Got news? Tap out a note to magazine@bates.edu!

Me and Jesus: In a dazzling Perry Atrium installation, artist K-Fai Steele '04 asks: "What if Jesus got the girl?"
