Lawyer Tom Grande, who's been in Hawaii since 1976, has won some high-profile cases, including Medicaid fraud settlements of $4 million and $3.4 million. Last October, he and his associates got a new class action certified for a class of 4,000 people. The case is against a national drug distribution firm alleged to have repackaged drugs with unknown expiration dates, mostly to elderly and infirm people. Tom is a partner in the law firm of Davis Levin Livingston Grande of Honolulu.... Kathy Slivka put her professional computer skills to work as a volunteer at the Center for Women and Families of Eastern Fairfield (Conn.) County, sorting out their seemingly incomprehensible database. For her dedication, she received the center's 2003 Volunteer of the Year award. Kathy is an adjunct professor at the Univ. of Western Connecticut and the owner of a computer business.... Bet Taylor Gailor is a staff attorney for Connecticut Legal Services Inc. in the children at risk unit. Her clients are poverty-level children with disabilities who need services from the state.... Gayle Vigeant Clark is a member of the board of directors and the publicist for Schoolhouse Arts Center at Sebago Lake. She was production manager of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum last summer, with son Sam in the cast. She'd love to hear from any Bates theater alumni living in commuting distance of the arts center, if they are interested in teaching, acting, teching. or fund raising for the program.... Marty Welbourn Freeman continues to work for the state of Alaska, as forest resources program manager in the division of forestry. Her husband, John, does energy efficiency consulting. They both work three-quarter schedules, so that they have plenty of time for Sarah (4) and Lindsey (8). If you're headed to Alaska, she'd love to hear from you.
