Over the winter, Donna Bailey, a lawyer in Saco, announced her candidacy for York County probate judge; she faced a June 8 Democratic primary. She has operated her own office for more than 10 years, focusing on probate, real estate and family law. She is a member of the Maine Commission on Domestic and Sexual Abuse, appointed by Gov. Baldacci.... Jane Calderwood left her post as top advisor to U.S. Senator Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) to join Brown and Company Inc. as vice president. BCI is the Washington representative for the American Shipbuilding Assn., which represents the nation's six commercial shipyards.... Laura Howard DePree is an architect in Atlanta. Her projects take her to the Carolinas, Idaho, and Chicago, among other places.... Mitch Marcus has been appointed senior vice president and team leader of commercial and industrial lending at Salem Five.... Jim Tobin, who lives in Bangor, is the chair of President Bush's New England campaign. He was a Republican National Committee regional chair for many years before forming his own consulting company a few years ago.... Pauline Vashon Wilder is a Reiki practitioner and private duty nurse. Her three boys (11, 9, and 6) attend the local Waldorf school.
