Patricia Buck

Patricia Buck has an appointment in the Education Department and teaches classes on ethnographic research methods; teacher preparation; and literacy, language, and social change.  Patti conducts anthropological research on educational processes and is currently doing community-based research with immigrant and refugee women in Maine.  Concern with the ways difference, power, equity, and cultural belonging play out within educational spaces shape her pedagogy and scholarship.
