Carolyn King scored her second game-winning goal in three days, giving Bates a 2-1 lead with less than 20 minutes to play.
LEWISTON, Maine –
Carolyn King scored her second game-winning goal in as many games, and Sarah Judice made seven saves to give Bates a 2-1 win over Connecticut College in a New England Small College Athletic Conference field hockey game on Campus Avenue Field on Saturday afternoon.

King '07 (Hanover, Mass.) scored on a penalty corner with just under 20 minutes to play off an assist from Allison Marshall '07 (Princeton, N.J.). King was stationed right in front of the goal and smacked a backhanded shot into the left side of the net to give Bates its only lead of the game.

Katie Williams gave the Camels a 1-0 lead at the 23:44 mark, but Mary Alice Cornog '05 (Neslon, N.H.) tied the game off an assist from Brooke Anable '06 (Plymouth, N.H.) with just 21 seconds remaining in the half.

Judice '06 (Granby, Conn.) made four saves in the first half and three late in the second half to preserve the lead. Ashley Kenerson made four stops for the Camels.

Bates, now 3-2, 1-0 NESCAC, goes on the road to face Amherst on Sunday in a game originally scheduled for Sept. 18. The Camels, now 0-5, 0-3, will play Wellesley on the road on Tuesday.
