Bobcat Women Compete at ITA Championships

2004 WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Heather Bracken and Emma Nochomovitz won their first round doubles match 8-5, but fell to Bowdoin's Ashley Summers and Kristen Raymond in the round of 16 at the ITA New England Regional Championships over the weekend. In singles play, Tara DeVito '05 (East Hills, N.Y.) lost to Bowdoin's Christine D'Elia 6-2, 6-3, in the first round, while Colby's Sarah Hughes knocked out Emma Nochomovitz '07 (Cleveland, Ohio) 6-2, 6-3 in the first round. Cecilia Grissa '07 (Doylestown, Pa.) lost her first round match with Amherst's Katie Hudson, 6-1, 6-3. Bates will host Babson in their home opener on Oct. 8. |
