Mook Scores Three to Lead Wesleyan to 6-2 Win Over Bobcat Field Hockey

2004 LEWISTON, Maine – Louisa Mook scored three goals and Cortney Tetrault added a goal and two assists to lead the Wesleyan field hockey team to a 6-2 win over Bates in a New England Small College Athletic Conference game on Saturday afternoon on Campus Avenue Field. Bates held a 2-1 lead after Brooke Anable '06 (Plymouth, N.H.) scored just over a minute into the second half, but the Jenn Wasserman tied the game for Wesleyan just over two minutes later. Molly Adams gave the Cardinals a 3-2 lead with 16:35 remaining, and Tetrault scored once and Mook scored twice in the final seven minutes to put the game away. Liz Greenwood '07 (Williamstown, Mass.) also scored for Bates. The Bobcats fell to 3-8, 1-5 NESCAC, while Wesleyan improved to 8-2, 4-2. Bates will play Trinity on Wednesday in Hartford, Conn. |
