Edited by Christine Terp Madsen '73

Class Secretary: Judith Lanouette Nicholson, 15 Heron Cove Drive, Merrimack NH 03054, judlannic@hotmail.com

Class President: Jon Wilska, 119 Mystic Rd., North Stonington CT 06359, jonwilska@hotmail.com

Suzanne Johnson Nixon maintains ties to the U.S. through her children. Son George is traveling through the country before starting college, and daughter Hannah will spend her junior year of college somewhere in the States.... Rita Sorensen Leonard lives in Portland, Ore. The local paper, The Oregonian, has a humor column called “The Edge” that ran a haiku contest about summer ice cream truck drivers. Out of a field of close to 1,000 entries, she won an honorable mention on July 15, 2004, and second place on July 16, 2004. “The contest was intended to spotlight the annoying music produced by those little ice cream trucks all summer long,” she says. Her runner-up haiku:
“Turkey in the Straw”
Ad infinitum on wheels
Sweet Freezus! Please, stop!
The second-place haiku:
Music murderer!
You can stick those popsicles
where the sun don’t shine!
