Women's Tennis Edged by MIT

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Bates College women’s tennis team lost a tight match to MIT, 5-4, on Saturday, with the score tied going into the final set.  

The Bobcats' play was highlighted by Cecilia Grissa '08 (Doylestown, Pa.) who played the best match of her spring season with a straight set victory.  In other singles play, Liz Currie '06 (Yarmouth, Maine) and Laura Harris '07 (Mercer Island, Wash.) battled out two tightly contested straight set wins.

Bates could only muster one win in the doubles matches, with seniors Lindsay Yost '05 (Erie, Pa.) and Tara DeVito '05 (East Hills, N.Y.) clinching a 8-5 win.
