Q: Just wondering. What exactly is the story with the cookouts behind the
Library on Wednesdays during Short Term? Are they open to all in the
Bates community free of charge or not? Different stories are in circulation.
Thanks.
A: As indicated in an e-mail that I sent out to the campus community, several
times, at the beginning of short term, as we have been doing for the past
several years the Wednesday evening BBQ are open to the campus
community. It is free to those on the board plan and is available to those
who are not at the reduced rate of $4.00. If individuals would like to
bring their family, the cost for children ages 6 to 12 is $2.00 and those
under 6 are free.
I hope this helps to clarify any confusion that might exist and thank you
for writing.

Q: I recently noticed the apricot mango yogurt in commons. My friends and I
got into an argument about whether or not this yogurt was ever at Bates
before the last month or two. I seem to remember having it a few years
ago... can you help us out???
A: No actually this is a new flavor for us this year. Hope this settles thing.
Thanks for writing.
Q: I was wondering what happened to the new Kashi Cereal?? I love it so much and it was only here for the first week of short term. Is it ever coming back?? thanks!
A: Kashi is a special order cereal and not knowing the high level of acceptability it would receive , did not order enough the first time. We have made the necessary correction to our ordering pars and I can assure that it will be here this week. Thanks for writing

Q: I just wanted to say how much I love the tomato/feta/olive/red onion salad
you make...please have it more often!
A: Thanks, we will. Thanks for writing.
Q: I like the new cereal selection, however, they seem to have disappeared. What happened??
A: Some of the new cereals are special order and not knowing their
acceptability we took a shot in the dark with the first order. I'm assured
that all cereals will be in this week. thanks for writing

Q: Tonite's meal was fabulous. The week following presented us students with really bad food. The food was not appetizing at all. It was very difficult to find anything to eat. Tonite was a welcomed change in comparison to the past few days. PLEASE keep up the good work. I like having delicious foods to eat. Thanks!
A: Thanks for writing.
Q: Is it possible to make sure that there's a green salad at these events? It often seems veggie options are lacking... Also, it is always disappointing when Commons is empty and without options when barbeques are "cancelled".
A: We most certainly can.
